About the Opportunity

  • Contract Length: 1–3 Weeks (Mid-November to Mid-December) | Shift-Based (Morning & Night Shifts Available)
  • Transport: Dedicated charter transport buses will run directly between Southern Cross Station and the Port Melbourne site for convenient commuting.

Randstad is currently recruiting reliable, detail-oriented individuals for short-term operational roles supporting a major government event.

Operating in a fast-paced, team-based warehouse setting, these roles play a vital part in maintaining high accuracy, security, and process compliance across key administrative and material processing operations. Full equipment and procedural training will be provided on-site.

Role Responsibilities

Depending on your assigned operational stream, your daily duties will include:

  • Sorting & Material Handling: Receiving incoming delivery packages, unboxing, verifying contents, removing security seals, and grouping materials into batches for processing.
  • Counting & Reconciliation: Accurately sorting, counting, and reconciling high volumes of physical materials following strict compliance protocols, and preparing documentation for system entry.
  • Extraction & Preparation: Opening secure documentation envelopes and extracting materials ready for data processing in line with strict operational guidelines.
  • Table & Logistical Support: Setting up operational work tables, managing stock levels, and executing batch quality checks across processing lines.

Key Selection Criteria

  • Attention to Detail: Ability to maintain high concentration and accuracy during repetitive tasks under deadline pressure.
  • Procedural Focus: Strong literacy and numerical skills with strict adherence to official handling procedures, security protocols, and operational guidelines.
  • Integrity & Neutrality: High ethical standards, adherence to strict codes of conduct, and a commitment to maintaining absolute impartiality in all duties.
  • Physical Capability: Ability to stand or walk for extended periods, perform tasks requiring fine motor skills/visual focus, and safely lift items weighing up to 13 kg.
  • Must have full Australian work rights, and be able to complete a police check and Randstad documentation.
